down to 1500 feet in Douglas County and in the southern Rogue
Valley in and near Ashland. West of the Cascades, for lower

inches, except 12 to 24 inches in the Mount Shasta area.
Moderate to strong winds of 30 to 60 mph are also likely at mid
and upper elevations, generally above 5,000 foot elevations.
* WHERE...Mount Shasta City, McCloud, Dunsmuir, south Weed,
Pondosa, and Tennant in South Central Siskiyou County and North
Central and Southeast Siskiyou County. This includes Interstate
5, Highway 89, and portions of Highway 97 between Weed and Grass
Lake.
* WHEN...From late Tuesday morning through late Wednesday
morning.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions care likely to impact the evening commute
Tuesday. The heavy snowfall could cause tree and power line damage.
Moderate to strong winds at mid to upper elevations could cause
tree damage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels are very likely to be low for
this winter storm and snow amounts are likely to be significant,
especially in the Dunsmuir to Mount Shasta area. There are some
