...AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Stagnant conditions will trap smoke and other air pollutants near the ground where people breathe.

* WHERE...Valleys of Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County to include Klamath Falls, Lakeview, Bly, Valley Falls.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to noon PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Air stagnation is likely to result in diminishing air quality with time, especially in and near areas with significant sources of air pollution.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Breezes today brought increased mixing to some areas east of the Cascades, but winds will diminish this evening and air will become stagnant again.

People with respiratory illness should follow their physician`s advice for dealing with diminished air quality. N95 masks are effective at filtering out the majority of harmful air particulates. According to state air quality agencies, prolonged periods of stagnant air can hold pollutants close to the ground where people live and breathe. Check with your local burn agency for any current restrictions in your area.

...FREEZING FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PST THIS MORNING... ...AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...For the Air Stagnation Advisory, poor air quality. For the Freezing Fog Advisory, visibility one quarter of a mile or less in freezing fog.

* WHERE...For the air stagnation advisory, this includes valleys in eastern Curry County and Josephine County. For the freezing fog advisory this includes the lower Rogue Valley near Grants Pass, the Illinois Valley and western portions of the Applegate Valley near Murphy. This also includes portions of Interstate 5 between Grants Pass and Wolf Creek and portions of Highway 199 in the Illinois Valley.

* WHEN...For the Air Stagnation Advisory, until noon PST Saturday. For the Freezing Fog Advisory, until 9 AM PST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and potential frost on bridges in dense freezing fog. Air stagnation is likely to result in diminishing air quality with time, especially in and near areas with significant sources of air pollution. Diminished air quality is likely to cause health issues for people with respiratory problems if precautions are not taken.

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Also, be alert for frost on bridge decks causing slippery roads. ...AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Stagnant conditions will trap smoke and other air pollutants near the ground where people breathe.

* WHERE...Valleys of central and eastern Douglas County, Eastern Curry County and Josephine County, and Jackson County including Roseburg, Medford, Grants Pass, and Cave Junction.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to noon PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Air stagnation is likely to result in diminishing air quality with time, especially in and near areas with significant sources of air pollution.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Periods of breezy conditions are expected at the southern end of Rogue Valley near Ashland, and this should keep the air well mixed in these areas through today. Ashland may be added to the Advisory later if conditions warrant.
