Areas Affected: Central and Eastern Lake County; Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THURSDAY TO 1 AM PST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow accumulations of three to five inches, with increased amounts at higher elevation.

* WHERE...In Modoc County, CA the Warner Mountains, including route 299 at Cedar Pass, and most areas south of route 139/299, including route 139 south between Canby and Adin. Areas of higher terrain in southern Lake County, including route 140 at Warner Mountain Summit.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Slushy, snow covered roads will cause difficult and hazardous travel. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and perhaps this evenings commute. Wet roads could turn icy.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow amounts at Quartz Mountain fall just below advisory criteria, but monitor the forecast for updates. Strong south winds will peak again in the afternoon along the Warner Mountains and other high terrain, possibly leading to blowing snow and a reduction in visibility.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST THURSDAY... ...WINTER STORM WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 10 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Snow accumulations of two to four inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Central Siskiyou County in the southern end of the Shasta Valley from south of Gazelle to south Weed.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Strong winds could cause tree damage and create brief periods of white out conditions.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST THURSDAY ABOVE 1500 FEET...

* WHAT...Periods of snow above 1500 feet. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to perhaps 4 inches. High elevations in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness could still have 6 to 12 inches of new snow. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Eastern Curry County and Josephine County, including the Kalmiopsis Wilderness and elevations down to around 1500 feet along Highway 199 near Hayes Hill.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Slushy snow covered roads will cause hazardous travel and could impact the evening or morning commutes. Wet roads could turn icy.

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. New snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, locally 18 inches above 5000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph in exposed areas.

* WHERE...South Central Siskiyou County, including Mount Shasta City, Dunsmuir, McCloud, Interstate 5, Highway 89. and North Central and Southeast Siskiyou County, including Tennant and higher terrain areas.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact morning and evening commutes.

* WHERE...Elevations above 2500 feet in Western Siskiyou County, but especially the higher elevations including Etna Summit on Sawyers Bar Road.
