...Red Flag Warning Expiring, but Locally Critical Fire Weather Conditions Linger Tonight... .While humidity will not be as low as the past couple of nights, very dry air will remain in place, particularly outside of valley areas. Winds will be lighter as well, but will remain locally elevated over exposed mountain slope and ridgetop locations, especially around Lake County. ...RED FLAG WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 5 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON... Stronger winds have diminished across most of the area, and will be relatively light tonight, particularly in lower slopes and valley locations, thus the Red Flag is expiring. However, locally critical conditions will persist over mountainous terrain exposed to the east-northeast, with some lingering winds of 10 to 18 mph with gusts 20 to 25 mph over ridgetops, especially around Lake County, as well as some parts of northeast Mendocino, southern Trinity, and far eastern Humboldt. This will be combined with still poor relative humidity recoveries in the 20s over the higher elevation terrain tonight.
