* Humidity: 7 to 13 percent in the afternoon, recovering to only 30 to 45 percent in valleys and 15 to 30 percent at mid slopes and ridges.

* WHERE...Western Siskiyou County and Central Siskiyou County.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

Strong east to northeast winds will develop tonight and remain strong through Monday, particularly across exposed mountain slopes and ridges. The combination of dry vegetation, low humidity values, and strong winds will yield a critical to extremely critical fire weather threat. Very low humidity values and locally gusty east to northeast winds will persist Monday night through Tuesday afternoon. ...RED FLAG WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PDT TUESDAY...

* HUMIDITY...Daytime humidity values in the single digits followed by overnight recoveries from 15 to 30 percent.

* WINDS...East-northeast winds sustained from 25 to 35 mph across exposed ridges with gusts to 60 mph expected. Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph in the valleys...highest across exposed locations.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
