* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures between 26 and 32 degrees expected.

* WHERE...The valleys of western, central, and south central Siskiyou County, including Yreka, Weed, Mount Shasta City, McCloud, Etna, Klamath River, Seiad Valley, and Happy Camp.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 9 AM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill unprotected crops and sensitive vegetation.

* WHERE...The valleys of Josephine and Jackson Counties, including Medford, Ashland, Shady Cove, Grants Pass, Cave Junction, Williams, Sunny Valley, Rogue River, and White City.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 9 AM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill unprotected crops and sensitive vegetation.

...WIDESPREAD CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... ...ANOTHER ROUND OF STRONG NORTHEAST WINDS AND VERY LOW RH`S POSSIBLE SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY... .Gusty east to northeast winds and widespread low humidities are expected for elevations generally above 1500 feet late tonight through the day on Thursday. Gusty winds will result in very poor humidity recoveries Thursday night over the higher elevations, generally above 1500 feet. The combination of gusty winds, low humidity and dry fuels will result in critical fire weather conditions late tonight through Friday morning. ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM THURSDAY TO 11 AM PDT FRIDAY...

* WIND...East to northeast winds from 10 to 20 mph with gusts from 25 to 35 mph. Stronger gusts from 40 to 50 mph are expected over the exposed ridges.

* HUMIDITY...Afternoon humidity values in the teens followed by overnight recoveries from 20 to 40 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM THURSDAY TO 11 AM PDT FRIDAY FOR EAST WIND WITH POOR OVERNIGHT RH RECOVERY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 280 AND 621... The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 3 AM Thursday to 11 AM PDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* Impacts: East winds, poor relative humidity recovery, and high fire danger will likely contribute to a significant spread of new and existing fires.

* Affected area: Mid to upper slopes and ridges of western Siskiyou County, including fire weather zone 280 in California and western portions of Oregon fire weather zone 621. This includes both the Slater and Red Salmon fires.

* Wind: Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Humidity: As low as 18 percent. Moderate to poor recoveries are expected Thursday night.
