Areas Affected: Central Siskiyou County

NWS Medford (Southwest Oregon and Northern California)

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM SUNDAY TO 11 AM PDT MONDAY... The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Wind Advisory...which is in effect from 11 PM Sunday to 11 AM PDT Monday.

* Winds...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* Timing...Winds will increase late Sunday evening and peak late Sunday night and Monday morning.

* Locations include...The southern Shasta Valley, including areas along Interstate 5 between Weed and Grenada.

* Impacts....Gusty winds will make travel difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 25 to 39 mph are expected with higher gusts possible. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Areas Affected: North Central and Southeast Siskiyou County

NWS Medford (Southwest Oregon and Northern California)

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 11 AM PDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches expected, mainly over the higher terrain south of Tennant. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph in exposed areas.

* WHERE...North Central and Southeast Siskiyou County including higher terrain south of Tennant.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 11 AM PDT Monday. Heaviest snowfall is expected Monday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult with snow covered and slippery road conditions.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 11 AM PDT MONDAY ABOVE 4000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...South Central Siskiyou County, above 4000 feet elevation. This includes Snowmans Summit on Highway 89. Also, light to moderate snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches may impact Interstate 5 at Black Butte Summit Monday morning.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 11 AM PDT Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Western Siskiyou County, above 4000 feet elevation. This includes higher portions of the Sawyers Bar Road near Etna Summit.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 11 AM PDT Monday. Heaviest snowfall is expected Monday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult with snow covered and slippery road conditions.
