Today: We'll see quite a bit of clouds and some lingering showers into Friday morning over on the eastside. Elsewhere, skies will be mostly sunny except for the coast where the marine layer will keep skies cloudy for much of the day. Some breaks of sunshine for the coast are possible later in the day. We will see more spotty to scattered showers and thunderstorms developing along and east of the Cascades and into Northern California for Friday afternoon. It's possible a couple showers or storms will work into the Rogue Valley Friday evening. More than likely, Josephine County will miss out on any showers and storms. Highs today will make it into the lower 80s in our westside valleys with middle 70s to around 80 degrees for highs throughout Siskiyou County. The Klamath Basin will see highs in the lower 70s with temperatures stuck mainly in the 60s for Lake County. The coast will be cool with highs in the upper 50s.

Tonight: Late this evening, a shower or two could cling on for dear life in the Klamath Basin. Other than that, we’ll be dry and calm. Skies will range from mostly clear to partly cloudy, with the clearer skies being in the valleys. Overnight lows will be a bit crisper compared to the past few nights. It’ll be in the low to mid-50s in our westside valleys, with mid to upper-40s for the coast, eastside, and mountains.

Extended: For this weekend, it's looking warm with winds picking up for the region. Winds will turn gusty for the coast and skies will trend brighter through the weekend. The chances for thunderstorms will continue this weekend, but activity won't be as widespread. The best chances for storms will continue to be for the Cascades, eastside and down in Siskiyou County. 

Temperatures will trend up into early next week. The threat for thunderstorms though is more of a quest mark. Some forecast models would dry out our region, but others will keep the chance for showers and storms for at least the eastside, Cascades and much of Northern California. We'll keep you posted on those thunderstorm chances in the coming days.
