CORVALLIS, Ore. --- The Oregon Ducks men's squad (9-6, 2-2) managed to outlast a serious push from the Oregon State Beavers (3-11, 1-3) on Monday night. Oregon beat Oregon State, 78-76, in Corvallis.
Perhaps the most glaring stat that pops out in the box score, is the fact that Oregon State went 2-16 from downtown. The Ducks made six more three-pointers than Oregon State.
The game came down to a last-second shot by the Beavs, but Eric Williams Jr. played it defensively and forced a bad look.
The Ducks were led by Jacob Young. He finished with 16 points and four assists. Oregon got double-digit production from five different players.
Oregon State was led by Warith Alatishe. Alatishe finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Up next, Oregon will take on UCLA. That game will be on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Los Angeles. The Beavs will be at USC on Thursday. That game will tip at 8:00 p.m.
