The coronavirus pandemic continues to have wide-ranging impacts on schools in Oregon and California, as state officials and individual districts work to develop plans for the coming school year that will keep students safe and healthy.

While most districts have tentatively planned for a mix of in-person and online learning, continually evolving requirements at the state level may force those plans to change right up until the first day of school — possibly beyond even that.

NewsWatch 12 has launched the SchoolWatch initiative to keep people in southern Oregon and Siskiyou County updated with the latest on how the 2020-21 school year will look in each district and school.
