"it's pretty obvious when people are coming and going other neighbors i spoke with told me... people were coming all day and all night... to buy drugs on their street. it got so bad that police were constantly being called... and at one point... "their truck almost got stolen from in front of their house ... when they were home." and i spoke with that homeowner.. and she confirmed it. their truck was almost stolen during broad daylight. "you know, now it's totally different." medford police were able to perform a drug bust... that ultimately changed this neighborhood. and the funds from the high intensity drug trafficking area program are what helped make this bust a success. and neighbors couldn't be more thankful. "we're better off." cassidy says, "today i spoke with both jackson and josephine counties and they told me one of the problems is that i5 runs through these counties. now mostly all the counties in oregon that have i5 running thrrough it are already a part of the high intensity drug program." josephine county was the last county along i5 to join the
