caitlin harvey "welcome back to newswatch 12 midday. here's a live look at klamath falls." today: after a damp start this morning, we will see more widespread showers this afternoon. though we will mainly see just rain showers throughout the day, a few ited thunderstorms mixed in with the rain showers cannot be completely ruled out. temperatures will also be cool today, with highs struggling to get out of the lower 70s even in our westside valleys. highs will we'll hold onto partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. temperatures will be chilly tonight west of the cascades, with lows bottoming out in the upper 40s and lower 50s for our in the 30s and 40s; patchy frost is possible tomorrow expect skies to turn mainly sunny by wednesday afternoon. temperatures will be warmer across the area with highs pushing 80 in westside valleys with 70s along the basin and highs around 90 in our westside valleys. saturday will start off warm, but we're closely tracking a storm system that could return cooler i'll keep tracking these conditions, and keep you updated to any changes. thanks, caitlin. in our health alert... a new study says there is no need
