go on. what is behind it though, is nothing short of beautiful. newswatch 12's cameron derby takes us on an adventure near the ashland watershed, in this week's take a hike. "today we have adventured to the backside of lithia park, where we are going to be hitting the bandersnatch trail right behind me. it is one of the amazing places behind lithia park, that you may not have even known existed that you may want to get to this summer. let's take a hike." bandersnatch has some cool things to look at, like this, right off the bat. you don't just have to look at trees on this hike. another thing you are doing off the bat, is heading up hill. but boy are the sights going to be incredible. a nice little get away from the noise of the city. if you are heading up bandersnatch, don't plan on walking straight. "now this trail is a bit some new friends that are ready to share the trail with you too. if a pretty view of the rogue valley is what you are looking for, you have come to the right place. this trail does not need a viewpoint. because the trail itself is the viewpoint. this is one of the most popular trails near the ashland watershed. that means you are probably going to run into more than one person. in fact, you may literally run next to people, because this a popular joggers trail. in total you are going to hike 1.8 miles if you stick to bandersnatch, but there are plenty of other trails that branch off. some of those trails that branch off are for bikes only. make sure you pay attention to that. there is also a risk of poision oak on this trail. so, stick to the trail and pay attention. better safe than sorry. overall though, this is a very peaceful and relaxing hike. a great place to go to get away for the any of the more than 40 other hikes
