this morning tomorrow.veterans h for our nation and one local organization is doing what they can to give back to those who have served our country. the smell of the hotdogs --and the sound of the scissors are all apart of a bigger purpose. "i can empathize with them because i was once in their shoes. kevin knapp is an army veteran - having served in the 70's and the 80's "30 mile road marches - alot of running up and down hills and a lot of weapons training. now he is helping his brothers get back on their feet i was homeless in vegas for 10 years, i heard about the rehab facility in white city and i came here for rehab and more importantly stay on their feet. my case manager from the va contacted me and said they have a case manager position open at access and which was homeless veterans now every third tuesday of the month -- kevin and other vets are on the corner of north first and north grape street making sure vets get the service that they need. "10 years ago i was hopeless, i was living on the streets in vegas and i didn't think i would ever get over my addiction but with a little help from other people and the va and access i'm back on my feet and i'm being a service to the community. and on this day -- kevin's heart and their bellies are now full there's nothing more rewarding than helping a homeless veteran get into housing and two years later and come up to you and say thank you for helping me. in medford adam schumes newswatch 12 to learn more about the third
