newswatch 12's ashley tsao joins us live from table rock elementary to explain how you can prepare your kindergartener at home if you can't make it. one of the easest things parents can do is crack open a book. and read with their child every night. the principal here tells me this can help set scholars up for success. [583]prepping kindergarteners-vo there are other things you can do to prepare kindergarteners for their first day in class. the principal tells me parents should try to set a bedtime. that's because class starts bright and early. at 7:45. teachers say it's important for students to learn about routines and schedules. this way, students can aim for perfect attendance. prepare them for what are school days. and having attendance being a focus. so, how important it is to be at school and in their kindergarten classroom every day. and starting those conversations that monday is a school day, tuesday is a school day. saturday and sunday are the days we're little bit more time before they start school. table rock elementary officially starts on september 3. a new construction project is going to be starting here in september, too. i'll tell you about what's being built in fifteen minutes. live at table rock elementary
