meteorologist jeff donovan" today: skies will be sunny around the region for your saturday. highs will once again be around 90 or so in our westside valleys. communities in northern california will see temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s as well, although some areas near somes bar and happy camp could see temperatures around 100 this afternoon. blustery conditions along the coast will warm temperatures up into the 70s. the basin will see highs saturday making it up into the middle to upper 80s. tonight: expect another round of clear skies across the region tonight. gusty winds will linger into the early evening hours before tapering off over night. the marine layer could bring some areas of clouds and fog to the northern curry county coast tonight and into douglas and coos county. overnight lows will once again remain mild, bottoming out in the upper 50s west of the cascades with temperatures in the 40s and 50s east of the cascades. extended: temperatures will be a bit warmer on sunday with skies looking sunny for most areas. parts of the coast will see more of an influence from the marine layer, especially, around brookings. that would mean a period of cloudier skies. heading into next week, temperatures are expected to continue to climb, possibly well above-average. some westside valleys could be looking at highs making a run for the triple digits. it does look to stay dry through the middle of next week, at least. a system later in the week looks to mainly stay to the north with any rainfall. a small craft advisory remains in effect for coastal waters until 5 pm sunday. winds will increase, gusting up to 40 knots, with steep, wind-driven seas up to 12 ft, and now a gale warning until 5 am sunday. can expect for the week ahead. thanks, jeff.
