t from sodexo, thank you so much for being here. thank you for having us. and this looks like a very fresh spread that we have in front of us. what exactly are we making? we are going to do hummus snack pack. yeah, what we call it in the schools. this is on our elementary menu. and how exactly do you put that together? well, you're going to take some garbanzo beans, garlic, you'll have some lemon juice, a little bit of salt, cumin, and cayenne pepper, okay, and you add a little bit of water in there then turn it on and let it go. yeah, you'll you'll blend it for just a few minutes. and it'll be nice and creamy like that. yeah, fairly easy. and it seems like some things that you would already have in your cabinet oe your fridge anyways. yes. wonderful. so we have the hummus. and then what else do we have going on here? well, we just make a little pack. so we pair it with some flatbreads. so we have those cut up and we just set those on the plate. okay. nice depending on you know, the growing season. but we happen to have some cucumbers and this came from tri -family farms. also the bell peppers came from there all local. we're just gonna add some carrots. my personal favorite. maybe just a bit of cheese, to give us our dairy component. and we'll just put a scoop of our hummus on our plate, this looks like a great snack. you could have in the middle of day or after school, maybe your extracurricular activities or something like that. and you have a pepper here, and you're telling me there is a way to slice this without having to deal with the seeds. yeah, i'm skeptical. and i'm going to show you how to do it. so this has three sides to it, regardless if it's three or four sides, you're just going to go right across that first thing and just cut straight down. and then you'll see the seeds on the inside. and we're just going to cut right along now. i stand corrected. so we just go down like that. same on the other side. i lay it down on a flat surface. and then. so simple. how have i never done this before. then it got the majority of your seeds left on your stem there. on the middle part too is you kind of normally cut that out anyways. and so it saves you all those extra steps. wonderful. yeah. and then when you go to slice peppers, if you can lay it where the the hard skin on the back side is down. it cuts so much easier. you don't your knife isn't sliding around that. it's safer too. i'm sure especially if you're maybe prepping this snack with your kids at home could be a way to introduce them to that flatbread that you're talking about. and of course the delicious hummus that you guys make yourselves. delores thank you so much for being here. thank you. we really appreciate it and you can find this recipe and it's going to be a little easier to find one of those meatless
