up-stinger about thirty mi ashley tsao joins us from medford to tell us how one organization is helping local students get the clothes they need. [e12]kidspree-stinger i'm at fred meyer south in medford where students can pick up school supplies. in early august, students in need will be about ten minutes away from here at jc penny to pick out new back to school outfits. this is the 28th year kidspree is hosting a back to school shopping spree low income students. kidspree helps about 200 elementary school students each year. on the day of the shopping spree, students get free breakfast and a backpack with school supplies. they'll also get about 120 dollars to buy clothes at jc penny. volunteers help them shop. students are already chosen for this year's shopping spree. even after almost three decades, kidspree organizers say this event is still exciting. we're so happy to help these families. and we really hope that it does help children be more successful in school. that's what we really feel we're doing. it's a thrill, it's really a thrill. kidspree says they still need volunteers to shop with students on the day of the shopping spree. volunteers will need to complete a background check. you'll
