caitlin harvey "welcome back to newswatch 12 midday. here's a live look at klamath falls." today: clouds this morning are dragging down visibility over some of our mountain passes. expect these clouds to clear out as we head highs climbing into the upper 80s in the rogue valley with some 90s possible in northern california. areas east of the cascades will climb into the lower to 80s. the coast will see many spots topping out in the 70s. winds will pick up inland later in the day, too, gusting up to 25 mph. a gale warning and hazardous seas warning have 25-35 knots with gusts up to 45 knots. seas will climb between 8-13 feet. recreational boaters are strongly encouraged to stay in port. tonight: temperatures will remain fairly mild overnight under mostly clear to clear skies, east of the cascades only falling into the mid and upper 40s. exexexexexexed: the chetco effe in brookings will peak friday with brookings pushing the lower 80s with tomorrow with highs in the 80s for most of the region. heading into the weekend weekend, it will be sunny and hotter through the region. highs will climb warmer and above-average temperatures look to continue into next week. we're keeping things dry for now, but we may have to monitor thunderstorm chances i'll keep tracking these conditions, and keep you updated to any changes. thanks, caitlin. in our health alert... school is out for the summer...
