Clouds won't persist as long in westside valleys tomorrow. Much of the region will be a few degrees warmer for you Tuesday. A storm system will increase clouds late tomorrow with showers possible along the coast tomorrow night.

"here's a live look at the oregon coast from the port of brookings harbor. tonight: thicker clouds and patchy fog will likely develop again along the coast overnight and into the rogue valley. temperatures will drop down in the 50s for our westside valleys and northern california communities with areas east of the cascades experiencing overnight lows in the 40s with mostly clear skies. a small craft advisory has been issued for coastal waters from 2 pm tuesday until 8 am wednesday. winds will pick up out of the north, gusting up to 30 knots at times. expect choppy, wind-driven seas between 5-7'. tomorrow: any morning clouds will melt away pretty quick west of the cascades. we'll see mostly sunny skies across much of the area as we head into the afternoon with highs climbing into the middle to upper 80s in our westside valleys and lower 80s in the klamath basin. clouds will increase along the coast later in the afternoon and move inland as we head into wednesday night. a few showers are possible, mainly in northern curry co. and north of the umpqua divide wednesday night. extended: with this latest system that'll sweep in wednesday night, expect slightly cooler temperatures in the rogue valley on thursday. temperatures across our region will remain somewhat below average for this time of the year through the end of the workweek. on thursday, clouds will be prominent in the morning along the cascades and in westside valleys. we'll see increasing sunshine through the day though. the coast will see highs in the 70s later this week with the chetco effect expected to take hold of brookings for thursday into friday. brookings could push 80 on friday. for this weekend, it's look sunny and hotter for southern oregon and northern california. highs will climb into the 90s in our westside valleys with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 in the klamath basin. these much warmer and above average temperatures look to persisit into next week. we're keeping things dry for now, but we may have to monitor thunderstorm chances for the cascades and areas east of the cascades late in the weekend an into next week. hopefully you can enjoy some of the upcoming weather. thanks.
