"here's a live look at the oregon coast from the port of brookings harbor. tonight: expect moslty clear to partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures tonight. any showers and thunderstorms east of the cascades should fizzle out overnight. low temperatures tonight will drop into the upper 40s to low 50s in the rogue valley and northern california with temperatures in the klamath basin dropping into the upper 30s to mid 40s. winds will be fairly breezy to start the evening before tapering off during the overnight hours. tomorrow: wednesday morning will usher in our next round of showers and thunderstorms starting along the coast. by wednesday afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will continue to march eastward, becoming widespread across much of our region. any thunderstorms will be capable of abundant lightning and some gusty winds and small hail, along with heavy downpours. the storm system will also bring cooler temperatures across the region. highs in our westside valleys will be around 70 or so with 60s in the basin and 50s for our higher elevations and the coast. extended: the active weather will continue across the region on thursday with more spotty showers and some thunderstorms. thunderstorms and rain shouldn't be as widespread as wednesday. friday and into the weekend looks warmer and brighter. temperatures will continue to heat up and get back up above average by early next week. hopefully you can enjoy some of the upcoming weather. thanks.
