morning will give way to very warm temperatures this afternoon. highs will climb into the upper 80s to low 90s for westside valleys as well as into northern california; temperatures in the low to mid 80s are expected in the klamath basin. the coast will mostly see highs in the 60s and 70s, but brookings today will will be fairly light around the region this afternoon, excluding coastal communites where gusts could reach 35 mph. a gale warning remains in effect for coastal waters until 11 pm thursday. northerly gales up to 30 knots with gusts up to 40 knots are possible. expect very steep, wind-driven seas between 8-13 feet. it is highly recommended that mariners without proper gale experience seek safe harbor. tonight: dry and mostly clear conditions are expected across the once will drop into the upper 40s to low 50s for our westside into the upper 30s to low 40s. coastal communities will experience overnight lows in the low to mid 50s final day of very warm summer temperatures on wednesday and gusty winds, but thursday will usher in a big cool down. thursday and region with abundantly sunny skies. southern oregon and northern california will remain dry throughout much of the upcoming week, but a slight chance of showers and storms moves in by early next week for the cascades weather-wxpc tonight you may be hearing some extra air traffic over lakeview.
