the burke's have been coming to grants pass downs on father's day for almost five years. it means sean burke gets to enjoy the things he loves: his wife, his daughters and good old fashioned horse racing. sean burke says, "you know, we just enjoy coming out and seeing the horses run. we usually get great weather. it's a good family atmosphere and the girls really love standing there, looking at the horses and trying to help me bet which one might win the race." one of those girls is raegan. she wanted to make sure that the best dad in the world had the best day of the year. raegan burke says, "we're at the racetrack today to celebrate my--um-- father's day and my dad really deserves to be here because he deserves to have a really good father's day because personally for me, i really like him as a dad." and dad really likes what grants pass downs means not just to his family, but also the other families in southern oregon. for sean, the race track brings something needed to the area. sean says, "the community needs something like this. it's great for the community to have a race track right here." races will continue through the next three weekends. the biggest race weekend is around july 4th with the firecracker futurity. the estimated purse for that race is 30 thousand dollars. and while the focus at the race track may have been on the horses, sean wanted to make sure every dad enjoyed their day. sean says, "happy father's day to all the fathers out there, you guys deserve a wonderful day." and
