trip. andryanna says: "the active club tells me boatnik has been the go-to way for the organizations in josephine county like one group from north valley high school." nat "thank you" this is how the leadership class at north valley high school is trying to raising money. makenna huff is just one of the students sacrificing her three day weekend for the cause. that's how josephine county youth organizations get donations from the active club. makenna says: class.". president eric hippler says boatnik is the second largest festival of its kind in oregon. and the club's biggest way to generate money for those youth organizations trying to raise money themselves eric says: "we were able to help out the grants pass high school marching band going to the macy's thanksgiving day parade last year. we help out the boys and girls club with buying tables and new stuff like that." in return, they give their time to the festival. the 45 members of the active club say they just want to be able to give back to the community. eric says: "people understand or are starting to understand what boatnik is all about. raising money for kids. people come here to enjoy themselves but also know there's a benefit to it." makenna just hopes they'll be able to raise enough to get to disneyland this june. makenna says: "i'm excited to spend time with the class and all of my friends and get closer." andryanna says: "you can help support north valley high school and other youth organizations by simply coming to boatnik this weekend. in grants pass, andryanna sheppard, newswatch 12." boatnik will also be holding a
