outsidnow officially begin. the start of the naia softball world series is less than 12 hours away world series starts thursday sou, oit softball begin quest for title southern oregon and oregon tech ready to go for the ten-team double elimination bracket. today's travel took us from medford to the midwest and we touched down in springfield around eight central. now the teams have been here since monday doing everything from community outreach events to taking in some minor league baseball but the main attraction is tomorrow, with games starting at 10 am central and running till 7:30 local time. oregon tech gets the tournament underway against seven- seed mobile. an early 8 am start time for viewers on the west coast. pitching matchup is what jumps out the most. oregon tech's sarah abramson has been red hot in her last three outings, while mobile's erika greek has an era below 1. southern oregon has an afternoon start time gabby sandoval and lindsey wilson's heavy hitting lineup that led the country in home runs. now as we showed you yesterday, thunderstorms and weather delays are a concern, and the forecast looks the worst tomorrow morning. good news is, sou and oit coaches have told me the fields have gotten a day to dry and were in much better shape when softball world series. in springfield, missouri, jake garcia, newswatch 12 sports. thanks for joining us for newswatch twelve at
