heartbreaking. a very gon university in the n-a-i-a world series. jake, these tornadoes hit central missouri and the state capital. you're in springfield just a bit to the south. even though you didn't have an tornadoes, you still got hit with some pretty strong storms last night. how is this impacting the n- a-i-a world series? yes, those tornadoes have avoided our area. we're about 2 and a half hours away from those... so important to note that our problems are pretty small compared to the rest of the state... but the weather delay here at the naia softball world series has pushed everything back 7 hours. oregon tech won't get its game started until 5 central, 3 pacific... southern oregon won't play until tomorrow morning... you can see the heavy rain we got last night soaked the fields and made it impossible for any softball to be played this morning. should give props to the grounds crew though because theyve made it look a whole lot better. if this sounds like a familiar story its because it is. the naia is 0 for its last two when it comes to picking an ideal location for this tournament. last year's world series in florida had over 12 hours of delays. of course those delays were on the last day of last year's tournament. we couldnt even get through one day this year. we'll continue to keep you updated on the weather here, but the plan for now is oregon tech at 3... sou tomorrow. live in springfield, jake garcia, newswatch 12. the university of oregon board of
