veterans face have found healing through music. nats of singing this all started with sean. he joined the army after 9/11...and started serving during the first year of operation iraqi freedom. he says adjusting back to civilian life took a toll on him over time. sean thomas/founder, vets end inc.: "the more i experienced the more anxiety and depression i felt, and i needed help." that's when sean turned to the guitar. eventually that love of music took over his need to take medication. sean thomas/founder, vets end inc: "music has been a life saver for me." sam humphrey will complete 3 1/2 years in the military this june. he says music is something he's gone back to during times of hardship. sam humphrey/music director, vets end inc: "music heals people. its one of the best medicines i've ever seen in my life." now the two want to bring that healing to others through vets end incorporated. kate houston/the haul, grants pass: "the goal of vets end is to create a sense of comradery with music, and through that, help veterans with any problems they're facing." right now the two are working to bring in more funding. this will help them secure a space...put an attorney on retainer...and expand their services for veterans. sean thomas/founder, vets end inc: "i would love to have a venue that we could hold concerts with our veterans, and then also bring in other bands and artists to put on benefit concerts for our cause." right now part of the proceeds from the lita ford concert will go to vets end. the organization is always taking instrument donations to help as many veterans as possible. sean thomas/founder, vets end inc: "get ahold of us, and we'll help. we are brothers and sisters and we need to take care of each other. so we are here." reporting in grants pass, kate houston, newswatch12. if you would like more
