is a slight chance of a few thundershowers around the region as well. if thundershowers do develop, they are expected to be isolated in nature. temperatures today will top out in the upper 50s to low 60s west of the cascades with highs in the low to mid 50s east of the cascades. a hazardous seas warning has been issued from 5 pm today until 11 am sunday for coastal waters. southerly winds will increase to 30 knots by saturday with steep, wind-driven seas up to 12 feet. recreational boaters should remain in port, or take shelter until waves subside. a small craft advisory remains in effect for the orego am sunday. tonight: showers will taper off tonight giving folks west of the cascades a brief break in the shower activity as we enter monday morning. a few rain showers will stick around east of the cascades as we enter the overnight hours. overall, partly to mostly cloudy skies and cool temperatures will dominate the region tonight. temperatures will bottom out in the upper 30s to low 40s west of the cascades this evening while communities east of the cascades will see temperatures dip into the low to mid 30s. extended: showers are expected to become more isolated in nature on monday before another storm system brings widespread rain showers and mountain snow showers on tuesday. for the second half of the week, we'll likely dry out and temperatures will start to return to more seasonal readings. that's a look at what you can expect for the week ahead.= thanks, caitlin.
