[a24]rita fire officer acamultiple different f agencies from across jackson and josephine counties are here for this training. all hoping to learn and better understand what it takes to be a fire officer. fire district 3 says that's the person in charge at things like structure fires or car accidents. kip says: "we're teaching this students how to be that help preserve properties. how to best help save lives. we're asking them to make some pretty critical decisions about saving lives." the students will bounce to different learning stations set up every day for the next two weeks. learning everything from fire behavior to water supply to even budgeting. this two- week academy could help each of the 16 students earn promotions at their different fire agencies. andryanna says: "coming up on newswatch 12 at 6, i speak to a few firefighters going through this rigorous training. in white city, andryanna sheppard, newswatch 12." teachers
