Rainfall is impacting the area this morning and we will continue to see showers into the afternoon hours. This evening showers are expected to taper off setting the stage for a beautiful Sunday ahead.

meteorologist jeff donovan" wea. rain throughout the day may be moderate to heavy at times, especially into the mt. shasta area and the klamath basin. rainfall totals across much of our area will be above 1/10" with some areas seeing as much as 1/2" to 1" of rainfall. there will be the chance for thunderstorms in eastern siskiyou county and up through the lakeview area. the coast will see a few showers in the morning before drying out. the rogue valley will likely see the rain showers come to an end for the afternoon. afternoon highs will top out in the drying out completely overnight. partly cloudy to mostly clear skies will dominate the region tonight once the showers leave the area. temperatures tonight will be fairly chilly with northern california and the rogue valley bottoming out in the upper 30s to low 40s overnight. folks in the klamath basin will be very chilly overnight with most communities experiencing below freezing temperatures. the coast will remain mild with temperatures dipping into the mid to upper 40s overnight. extended: easter sunday is still looking beautiful with skies becoming mostly sunny and temperatures rebounding back to around 70 in the rogue valley. we look to stay fairly quiet into early next week with the storm track mainly staying to our north. temperatures will be rising, too. we'll keep an eye on shower and thunderstorm temperatures will also cool off a bit late week.
