annually since 1954. i talked to some people here that says they're seen some major tamara clament has watched the parade evolve over the last 30 years....she's surpised on how the crowd has grown tamara says "a lot more people....there's a lot more people coming out, a lot more food, the food is getting better every year." she sits across from george tree, whose been coming to the parade for even longer george says "been here a long time seen a lot of changes." george says he's been coming to the pear blossom parade since the very first year george says "the buildings have changes and the construction of downtown medford, and there's impovements and all that stuff." but he says the biggest change is how many people are here george says "i can remember when i was very little that there was a lot more room" hundreds of people lined the streets on this sunny saturday to watch the parade go by some even got there before the sunrise to claim good seats. carla says "we came here early this morning to set our spots so we could get a nice spot right by the announcers booth" carla has been coming to the parade the parade for six years carla says "it's a really nice time to get together and see the booths and see the parade and hang out" carla says "right now i really love that it's sunny" but the kids have their own favorite part of the parade braiden says "getting the candy!" this year more than 150 groups were in the parade, including newswatch 12 mari says "you can really see how the pear blossom parade has grown. it started out with just 20 floats in 1954. in medford, mari nelson, newswatch 12." grants pass police are searching for a driver who ran
