[a23]spring break duii patrols-vo the jackson county sherriff''s office is starting monday through the end of next week expect to see more deputies on the road... they want spring breakers to drive sober... or arrange in advance for a designated driver. the sheriff's office was able to put more deputies on the road thanks to grant funding. deputies say you should have a cab company's number saved in your phone as a backup plan or plan on using a rideshare company. deputies want to remind everyone that driving under the influence has deadly consequences and if you see someone intoxicated while driving you should contact local police. [a24]cave junction tours-vo if part of the oregon caves will be closed throughout 2019 for life, health, safety and accessibility rehabilitation, but ranger-led tours of the cave will continue as usual. cave tours are available through november 03, 2019. walk up tours are available but it's suggested that you make a reservation. beginning early may... you can make same day reservations. the park is at the illinois valley visitor center in cave junction. each day of the week is a different theme that you can dress up for. monday is beach day- tuesday is super hero day- wednesday is animal day- thursday is 80's day- friday is pajama day. if you dress up, you can enter into a drawing to win some gear at the end of the week. there will also be free snow bus service to and from the ashland hills hotel. [a26]female joco fire camp-vo young women in southern the rogue girls fire camp is coming up in june. it's a chance for girls between the ages of 16 and 20 to learn what the job entails. it's three days of learning, teamwork and fun. the camp is taught primarily by female firefighters from departments across the rogue valley. there is an application process that'll be announced soon. the camp has spots open for 15 women.
