tonight. snow levels will be dropping down to 4,000' but even accumulations at our higher passes look very minimal. lows will drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s in the klamath basin and cascades, in the upper 30s and lower 40s in the rogue valley and northern california, and into the low 40s along the coast. a gale warning remains in effect for waters off the southern oregon coast until 5 pm tonight. southerly gales up to 45 kt are possible with very steep, wind-driven seas up to 11-15' making bar crossings difficult through the day. tomorrow: spotty showers will linger on saturday with widespread spotty rain and snow showers in the afternoon. snow levels will be between 4,000' - 4,500' through the day. cool temperatures are expected too with highs in the 40s and 50s for most areas and some 30s up in the mountains. some isolated brighter and warmer before another system will bring more rain and snow to start next week. monday is looking soggy with snow up in our higher elevations above 4,000'. not as wet on tuesday, but widespread rain and snow is expected again wednesday into thursday with temperatures cooler than average next week. it does look like we dry out by next friday. hopefully you can enjoy some tonight-- 20/20 is diving into the story of one of oregon's most
