"here's a live look at the oregon coast from the port of brookings harbor. tonight: showers will begin to taper off a bit this evening, but we will hold on to our partly to mostly cascades and basin, and in the mid to upper 40s along the coast, in northern california, and the rogue valley. any lingering showers will mainly stay as rain with snow levels only dropping to about 5,000'. tomorrow: isolated showers will linger and pop up again tomorrow along and east of the cascades. cooler but seasonal temperatures are expected. the rogue valley more potent system set to arrive throughout the day friday. expect rain and mountain snow to spread into the region for the end of the week with snow levels starting out up around 6,500' before dropping friday night down to 3,500'. higher passes could see some minor accumulations of 2-4" saturday with cooler temperatures left behind. sunday is looking brighter and warmer before another system will bring more rain and snow to start next week. next week is looking unsettled with more rain and snow tuesday into wednesday with likely some lower snow levels too. a beach hazards statement has been issued especially for west and northwest facing beaches. sudden and unusually high beach run-ups are possible resulting in an increased risk of drowning or injury hopefully you can enjoy some of the upcoming weather. thanks.
