surgeon. ark. "one hundred and uh lets see, uh about five days." richard miller turned 100 this week. "the grants pass american legion honored richard miller today for his 100th birthday. behind me, you can see the photos they are displaying of him. they say he's the oldest male veteran in josephine county." miller was drafted into the army in world war 2. "i was supposed to get out in one year, but that war started and that lasted for four years." after the war, he worked for the post office in los angeles for 26-years. miller walked five miles to deliver mail to 300 people every day. he says he thinks that's why he's stayed healthy for so long. his advice... "take life easy. well i guess the first hundred years is the hardest." he's been married 70 years and even still drives around. he drives his best friend gene around all the time. "they just renewed his drivers license for 8 more years." miller's granddaughter is one of four generations he's helped raise. she says he makes every person feel important. "hes a good good man and a good good father" today is the american legion's 100th birthday as well. to celebrate, the grants pass american legion honored miller and made him an official member of the legion. miller is now the 24th world war two member in grants pass. all of them are over 90 years old. hugs "i love you gramps." in grants pass, cassidy delamarter, newswatch12. turning now to the weather center
