"here's a live look at the oregon coast from the port of brookings harbor. today: after a chilly start this morning, expect temperatures to rise very quickly throughout the morning with ample sunshine. this afternoon will be bright and sunny with very mild highs in the 50s and 60s across the region. in the rogue valley, we'll likely see temperatures climbing into the upper 60s. the uv index for today remains "moderate", only allowing 30 minutes before burning without sunscreen. tonight: skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the region. overnight lows will be chilly tonight, dropping into the upper 20s and lower 30s in northern california, in the low 30s in the rogue valley, into the lower 20s and even 10s in the klamath basin and in the lower 40s along the southern oregon coast. extended: for the weekend, temperatures will cool slightly west of the cascades for saturday with some more increased clouds through the day. temperatures will still likely be above- average with highs remaining in the 50s and 60s for highs. st. patrick's day is looking warmer and brighter with highs climbing into the lower 70s in medford and the rogue valley. parts of the coast could even hit 70 deg. east of the cascades, the mercury will climb up around 60 degrees. the warmest day in the forecast will be monday where temperatures will be at least a couple of degrees warmer than sunday. we'll begin to see clouds increase in our region from a storm system tuesday into wednesday. the track of this storm system is in question, but it's possible we could deal with a few showers wednesday into thursday. the best chance for this, at least at this point, is in northern next week thanks to a stronger storm system.
