[a16]traffic-wxcenter traffic really is not too bad around the region right now. but we are sseing a few minor slow downs [a17]chains or traction tires-ots with snow in the forecast for this weekend and early next week it's important to have your ok at this photo. the car landed on it's hood. a car witnessed the car leave the road, roll several times until landing on it's hood. the woman denied being transported to the hospital. the cause of the crash is being investigated by oregon state police. rural metro fire says the roads were wet at the time of the crash. the department also wants to remind people to drive safe today and this week especially with possible snow coming to the valley newswatch 12 was on the scene thursday night. police believe they have found the man responsible for lighting this garage on fire. crews arrived to the home on happy valley drive just after 11:30. they say the fire did significant damage to the detached garage. they knocked it down before it spread to nearby homes. friday - police arrested 52 year old terry lee day. they used a neighbor's security footage to help them find him. detectives found day in steel shed where they say he threatened officers with a gun and refused to come out. a swat team and crisis negotiators were called in to help. after using a breaching charge and gas - officers eventually got inside and arrested day. he had outstanding warrants for his arrest. he now faces a list of charges. the session took place at fire station 4. ham radio is ameteur radio hobby, it can allow you to communicate with people all around the globe. the president of the club says it can be used in case of an emergency on a large scale, that could wipe out the use of phones. if that was to happen, ham radio could become a needed form of communication. there were about 25 people at the first session, which is the largest of at least the last 4 classes. "we are really excited, it's kind of a new direction for us. we really want to be science engagement for all and it has stuff for all ages." every 1st saturday of the month, there will be a musical performance that is based on one part of the exhibit. its goals include reducing opioid prescription fills by one third and improving access to evidence- based addiction treatment. it also plans to increase public awareness of "rescue breathing," a form of mouth- to-mouth that can help overdose victims.
