Mostly quiet tonight with light showers and drizzle developing along the coast. Rain will become more widespread for much of the area along and west of the Cascades tomorrow. Snow levels will be higher with this system.

of our westside valleys. valleys in northern california could see some fog develop overnight. though most will remain dry, the coast may see light rain or drizzle develop later tonight. lows will drorororointo california and lower 30swest of the cascades. the coast will bottom out in the mid 40s. tomorrow: clouds will thicken up with rain developing through the morning along the coast. rain will spread east their way into northern california and east of the cascades. snow levels will rise quickly from 5,000' in the morning to upwards of 7,000' by late afternoon. most of us besides are tallest peaks will just see plain rain. we will see shower activity diminish as we go through tomorrow night. rainfall amounts will range between 1/10" to 1/4" for most spots with lesser amounts in the basin and in siskiyou county. locally higher amounts up to 1/2" are possible near the coast and for some areas along the cascades. extended: after wednesday, most areas will likely stay dry the rest of the week and this weekend. fog chances will return nearly every night and morning this week and into the weekend for our valleys. some particularly stubborn fog may have difficulty clearing at all in the rogue and illinois valleys, especially, thursday and friday. however, this weekend into next week with offshore winds developing, it may allow the fog and low clouds to break up sooner highs in the 60s later this week and into this weekend. some colder air will work for inland areas early next week. we'll likely stay dry until possibly the end of this month.
