[e14]womens march local-vo the 3r protest for women's rights. even the little ones were out in full force. women's rights was not the only thing that they protested. there were also signs for racial equality and ending the partial government shutdown. it wasn't just women out to march. one ashland man spoke about why he wanted to be a part of the movement. "i have two daughters. so obviously equality for my daughters, and for all women. i have been a girls soccer coach for 24 years. i have coached a lot of young women. and so equality is a hawthorne park at about 11a-m. after the march they continued singing and dancing, to live after the march they continued singing and dancing, to live entertainmet. [e16]womens march national-vo thostook place in washington dc. participants gathered at freedom plaza - marching past the trump hotel. a major theme among the marchers... the border wall, and the government shutdown. we have almost one million of our sisters and brothers who are not receiving a paycheck because somebody decided to have a temper tantrum the number of marchers this year was far short of the massive crowds at the first women's march in 2017. attendance was expected to be lower in part because of controversy surrounding the movement's leadership .. accusations of anti-semitism and racism - but leaders have denied those accusations. the controversy has lead some to break from the women's march. several cities saw multiple marches. [e19]too much screen time-stinger report out of the u.k. says it's impossible to recommend age appropriate time limits. other organizations disagree. the american academy of pediatrics advises against any screen time for children younger than 18-months, and only one hour per day for children ages two to five. the american heart association reported in 2017 that screen time could even contribute to future heart disease. but experts at the royal college say there's no direct evidence to suggest a toxic link between screen time with heart disease, obesity and other health issues. vaping has increased 80 percent among high schoolers and 50 percent among middle schoolers according to the agency. experts worry that it could put kids developing brains at risk and get them hooked on nicotine early in life. they say there is an urgent need for research on ways to treat kids who are addicted to nicotine since there is almost no data on treating kids who are hooked.
