be a cloudy and foggy sta the coast, especially the afternoon and evening. tonight: most of the region will see some passing high level clouds tonight with widespread fog developing in many of our westside valleys. some of the fog with some possible shower activity around the mt. shasta area. it'll be colder tonight with lows in the 20 and 30s inland with 40s and 50s along the coast. california will have the chance for some showers and snow in the higher elevations. however, any rain and snow would be pretty hit and miss with the best chance at precipitation near mt. shasta. a beach hazards statement is in effect for the coast from 4 am sunday morning until 11 pm sunday night. there will be an increased risk of sneaker waves and the potential for higher than usual wave run up during looks to return by the middle of next week. more details of that system including specific timing and strength of the storm your cell phone may get an upgrade every year or two, but
