pass may see some changes torachel says, "the blu project here in grants pass wants to spice up three different alleyways. this is one of them. today they heard from committee members who had concerns and some suggestions. this is a look at what 3 different alleyways could become. the goal is to dress them up -- give them murals, benches, and make them pretty outdoor spaces. map: the alleyways are all close to each otheralong 6th street between g and i streets. steve ware with the parks and rec advisory commission is all for the project. steve says, "i think it provides additional venues and will bring for tourism into town and enhance the downtown business district." ward warren agrees it could be a good idea, but also has some concerns. he's with the historic building and sites commissionand owns a business downtown. ward says, "there's also concerns mentioned about people may be hanging out in the evening or whatever and part of the plan i believe is to have some sort of gates that would be similar to a park where the gates will be closed at night and open in the morning." the alleyways are city propertymeaning they're technically city parks. it's not clear how this project would be paid for yet. that's something that'll be discussed down the road. this is all in the very preliminary stages and hopefully there will be more scheduled in grants pass rachel td nw12 coming up on newswatch 12 at 6you'll hear from the
