level clouds tonight with widespread fog developing in many of our westside valleys. some of the fog could be dense. cloudy and foggy start in stubborn tomorrow with some breaks of sun later in the day. temperatures will top coast and in northern california. some showers are possible along the coast, especially the afternoon and evening. the mt. shasta area will see some rain and snow push in friday night. california will have the chance for some showers and snow in the higher elevations. however, any rain and snow would be pretty hit and miss with the best chance at precipitation near mt. shasta. a beach hazards statement is in effect for the coast from 4 am sunday morning until 11 pm sunday night. there will be an increased risk of sneaker waves and the potential for higher than usual wave run up during this time. if you are heading out to the beach on sunday, stay alert. monday looks calm but wet weather and strength of the storm will become more clear as we get closer to its arrival.
