Increasing clouds with rain and snow showers pushing into Southern Oregon and Northern California. The most widespread rain and snow will be Tuesday evening. Winds will be picking up too.

see some colder temperatures tonight with lows around freezing for our westside valleys. in the basin, lows will fall down into the lower 20s and 10s. clouds and fog develop tonight for many of our valleys. tomorrow: clouds will increase on tuesday and winds will pick up as the next storm system arrives to our region. rain showers will begin impacting the coast as early as late morning and also we'll have rain and snow up in the cascades. snow levels will climb up to 6,000' by the afternoon. some isolated or spotty showers are possible for the rogue valley, northern california and the basin into the afternoon. however, it looks like widespread and the heaviest rain and snow will move in tuesday evening into tuesday night. snow levels will drop overnight down to 3,000' by wednesday morning. highs tuesday will be in the 40s amounts will be highest towards the coast and coastal mountains with over 1/2" likely. in the rogue valley, rain amounts will be east of the cascades and in northern california. for snow, little accumulation in the basin and northern california. mt. ashland could see 1" or two. along the cascades, at least a few cascades are under a wind advisory from 4 pm tuesday to 4 am wednesday. southwest winds could gust as high as 45 to 55 mph. extended: we'll dry out on wednesday with just some lingering snow showers in the morning along the cascades. otherwise, we'll see a mix of sunshine and clouds. thursday looks dry and mild with another storm system to bring rain and snow on friday. these storms will continue to be quick moving. we'll see another break on saturday then more rain and snow sunday into monday. hopefully you can enjoy some of the upcoming weather. thanks.
