[a23]vision clinic-sotvo lany says: "just today, people are coming in excited to see. getting glasses so they can get a license and go to work. kids who need glasses to go to school and read and learn and study and it's really making an impact." organizers say the students that volunteer also benefit from the vision clinic. it teaces them job and communication skills. 20 different elementary and middle school teams from all over the rogue valley competed against each other in lego robotics. over the last three months those teams have been putting together a lego robot to do tasks. the head referee says this is a great way to get kids excited about science and math. rob says: "it gives children an opportunity to work together to problem solve to experience hard things that only seven teams will advance to the championship tournaments in hilsboro next month. coming up after the break... dogs and cars. we will tell you why both of those were invovled in the same event.
