Clear and cold tonight with freezing fog likely in many of our valleys. After fog and low clouds in the morning, we should all see pretty sunny conditions for the afternoon Thursday with highs in the 30s and 40s inland and 50s for the coast.

tonight: as skies continue to clear out tonight, fog will develop and likely be more widespread. with temperatures forecasted below freezing, expect more freezing fog overnight, locally dense, into thursday morning. overnight lows will drop into the 20s for northern california and the rogue valley, in the 10s and clear out of most of our valleys on thursday by the afternoon. if the fog lingers a bit longer, that'll have an impact on temperatures. otherwise, expect mainly sunny conditions with highs in the 40s and 50s west of the cascades and 30s for our higher elevations and the klamath basin. extended: the weekend looks more active. the first of two storm systems will impact much of the area friday night into saturday morning. lower elevations will see some very light rain showers, especially, along the coast. our higher elevations along the cascades, mainly above system. a more potent storm will impact the area sunday into monday bringing more widespread rain and snow to rain and snow is in the forecast for next week too.
