kicks off newswatch 112's rachel tiede. she is live at walmart where barrels have been set up and are ready to collect your donations. good morning rachel, what items are we needing this year? today is the first day you can bring a non-perishable food item or an unwrapped toy to any walmart location in jackson, josephine or klamath county. last year - our community donated enough toys for around 2 thousand children to have at least 3 toys under the tree and nearly 1 children it hopes to help. we need gifts for all ages -- including newborn to 17- year-olds. you can donate things like gift cards and gifts that children recieve all year long. we are also collecting non- perishable food so that families can enjoy a hearty christmas he talks about the impact season for sharing has on local fitness centers are being targeted by thieves.
