[a1 street, you'd never know homes on this street, you'd never know the destruction that happened here four years ago, but when the people living here walk out their doors and few steps down the road, they get a reminder of the fire and the day that changed their lives." "as i was driving out, the house across the street was on fire." sue tavalero won't ever forget the day she saw flames headed right for her home. that's when she knew - she'd be coming back to a pile of debris. since the fire, she's learned a lot. now - she's sharing her advice with the people living through the same tragedy. "you''ll never have the regualr normal and that's okay but you will have the new normal." she shared this post on facebook.. reminding them to take a deep breath, drink some water, and know things will start to look up. she also says it's important to have patience. "things will work out but not if you try to rush into anything." and most importantly - she says try to make peace with your decisions. "things are running through your head i should have done this and i should have done that, you did the right thing, you left, you got out." she's also got advice if you know someone who lost their home. "let them talk about it." because sometimes - all people want - is to be heard. "that's kind of one of the best things you can do is tell your story, and if somebody just sits and listens, it's a ton of help." in weed, emma balkenbush, newswatch 12.
