stormwatch 12 weather tonight: mostly clear, but of course hazy skies too for our area tonight with more poor air quality possible in many spots of southenr oregon and northern california. some clouds will work in late tonight along and east of the cascades. lows will fall below freezing again in many of our westside valleys with 20s and 10s in the basin and 40s along the coast. an air stagnation advisory remains in effect for southern oregon until 4 am tuesday. light winds and poor mixing will keep our skies hazy and pollutants near the surface. we will continue to see impacts to air quality. a small craft advisory has been issued for coastal waters until 1 pm saturday for northerly winds between 20-35 knots, 30 knot wind gusts, and steep seas up to 9 feet. tomorrow: a weak storm system will pass to our east, but it'll possibly be enough to clear out some of the smoke and haze east of the cascades as winds pick up out of the east. we'll also see a mix of sun and clouds along and east of the cascades with slightly cooler temperatures for afternoon highs. west of the cascades, expect more hazy sunshine and reduced air quality. highs west of the cascades will climb into the lower to middle 60s. remaining mild for this time of the year. by tuesday, we should start to see winds picking up and the smoke clearing out as we go throughout the day. if you big weather pattern chance for our region with lots of clouds, much cooler temperatures, lower elevation rain and mountain snow. that active weather definitely could impact your travel plans. confidence on timing, snow levels and rain/snow amounts is less high. we of course will keep you posted as we get closer to thanksgiving and those travel days ahead of the holiday. the wet and cooler weather looks to continue for black friday shopping too. hopefully you can enjoy some of the upcoming weather. thanks.
