40s west of the cascades and 20s in the basin. tomorrow: sunny skies and warm weather in store for your friday after another chilly start to the day. highs will climb into the 80s for many of our westside valleys, and we'll see 70s in the basin. we could tie or even break the record high in medford of 83 set back in 1999. quiet weather into tomorrow evening. it's looking great for all of those high school football games. extended: the sunny and warm weather will carry over right into the weekend. saturday looks warm with possibly another record being broken in medford. not as warm for sunday, but it'll still be well above average for this time of the year with plenty of sunshine. this is looking like a fantastic weekend for all your outdoor plans. take advantage of the warm weather because this likely could be our last 80s in the rogue valley for this year. we have big changs in store for next week. monday will be quiet and warm, but we have a pair of storm systems that will likely bring some much need rain showers to the region tuesday and wednesday. along with the showers will be mostly cloudy skies and much cooler and below-average temperatures. we'll be ironing out the extact timing of rain and rainfall amounts in the coming days. fire danger remains moderate for southwest oregon. there's new information on the disappearance of
