"here's a live look at the oregon coast from the port of brookings harbor. tonight: breezy into this evening with clouds continuing to increase across the area. some patchy areas of smoke are possible in northern california and in our westside valleys. milder tonight with lows in the 40s and 50s for much of southern oregon and northern california. some places east of the cascades could still dip down into the 30s. tomorrow: autum officiall arrives on saturday at 6:54 pm, and it's going to feel more fall-like this weekend. partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies for your saturday with the possibility of a few showers or sprinkles, mainly along the coast and up in our higher elevations. some areas of haze are possible too. temperatures will be cooler with lower to middle 70s in the rogue valley, upper 60s and lower 70s in the basin, warmer temperatures into california and lower 60s along the coast. extended: lingering clouds and cooler than average temperatures continue into your sunday. we should see increasing sunshine later in the day. highs will be in the 60s and 70s across the region. as we look ahead to next week, a very warm weather pattern looks to set up for southern oregon and northern california. we'll see widespread 80s and 90s by the middle of the week for high temperatures along with mainly sunny skies. we'll also likely see some gusty winds near the coast and the chetco effect warming up parts of the coast, including the brookings area. this setup could lock in place for a while with above average temperatures right into the start of october. we'll kee you posted of course. fire danger remains high and if any fires do spark, they could spread quickly. hopefully you can enjoy some of the upcoming weather. thanks.
